This page explains what data SizingCalcs collects and why. The short version: we do not ask you to create an account, and the numbers you type into a calculator never leave your browser.

Calculator inputs

All calculations run locally in your browser. The values you enter are not transmitted to our servers, not logged, and not stored. Closing the tab discards them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and where people get stuck. It collects data such as pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, device type and referring site. It does not tell us who you are.

Advertising

This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and may receive your IP address, device information and the pages you view here.

Under some United States state privacy laws, this kind of ad delivery counts as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, even though no money changes hands for it. We do not sell personal information for money.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and manage third-party cookies through your browser. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent choice before personalised advertising cookies are set.

United States residents

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of the sharing of personal information for targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

To opt out of personalised advertising, use Google Ads Settings or a browser-level opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, which we honour where it is transmitted. For any other request, write to [email protected] and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and this site is not directed to children.

Other jurisdictions

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Since we operate no accounts, in practice this concerns analytics and advertising data held by our providers rather than by us.

Data processed by Google Analytics and Google AdSense may be transferred to and stored in the United States and other countries under Google's own terms and safeguards.
